Overview
The demographics section of the campaign builder is one of the most powerful tools for guiding recruitment. It determines which influencers are sourced and what type of audiences they represent. If your targeting feels misaligned or your campaign objectives shift, you can adjust these settings to refine your influencer pool and optimize campaign results.
Why Adjust Demographics?
Targeting Feels Off: If most applicants don’t match your ideal influencer profile, revisit follower ranges, engagement rate thresholds, or interest categories.
Audience Priorities Shift: Campaign goals may evolve—from awareness in broad geographies to conversions in hyper-local markets. Update age, gender, or location filters to reflect the change.
Refine for Quality: Narrow criteria if you’re getting too many irrelevant applicants; broaden them if you’re not seeing enough.
How to Adjust Demographics
Navigate to your campaign’s Demographics section in the builder.
Update fields such as follower range, engagement rate, location, age, gender, or interests to better align with your goals.
Save your changes.
Republish Required: Any changes made in the campaign builder—including demographics—require you to republish the campaign. Republishing activates the updated criteria and signals the recruitment system to target new influencer profiles. If you do not republish, your adjustments will not take effect.
Best Practices
Monitor “Uninterested” Data: If many influencers decline due to misalignment, it’s a signal your demographic filters may need adjustment.
Avoid Over-Restriction: Too many filters can shrink your pool and slow recruitment. Balance precision with practicality.
Reassess Mid-Campaign: If you notice performance isn’t tracking toward your goals, adjust demographics early to influence the remainder of your recruitment cycle.
Track Impact: Compare applicant quality before and after adjustments to confirm the effectiveness of your changes.
