Overview
Enable content pre-approval to require creators to submit draft content for your review before publication. From the platform, review creator submissions, request edits, and approve or deny content for publication.
Campaign Setup
Set Content Pre-Approval
To maintain brand consistency and quality control, enable the content pre-approval setting in the campaign builder. This ensures selected influencers upload their content for your review before they can publish it.
Define Submission Timeline
To establish clear expectations for content delivery, set a specific deadline for creators to submit their content within the campaign builder's collaboration requirements. This communicates the due date for reviewable content to creators.
Content Review
Review Creator Content
To evaluate creator submissions against campaign objectives, access and view all content drafts uploaded by creators in the "Influencer" management section and click on "In Progress" under the "Pre-Approval" column.
Navigate between content pieces to review each submission.
Request Content Edits
To guide creators in refining their content to meet campaign standards, request modifications by providing specific feedback. While viewing a content draft, select 'Request Edits,' enter your feedback in the designated field, and send it to the creator. This process allows up to three rounds of revisions.
Revision Limit
You have three rounds of revisions for edits. Ensure your feedback is clear and comprehensive each round.
Approve Creator Content
To authorize the publication of creator content, grant final permission for a creator to publish their content. Once satisfied with a content draft, select 'Approve.' This action notifies the creator that their content is cleared for live posting.
Tips for Requesting Content Edits
Requesting edits is a normal part of influencer collaboration, but how you approach it can impact the final result and your relationship with the creator. Keep these best practices in mind:
Be Specific and Actionable
Instead of “This doesn’t fit our brand,” say:
“Please update the caption to include our campaign hashtag #FreshStarts.”Concrete requests reduce confusion and avoid multiple revision rounds.
Prioritize the Essentials
Focus on edits that directly affect campaign goals—brand mentions, hashtags, product placement, or compliance requirements.
Avoid nitpicking style choices that don’t materially impact results.
Balance Brand Standards with Creator Authenticity
Creators know their audience best. Maintain brand guardrails but allow room for their personal voice and creativity. Authenticity drives stronger engagement.
Group Feedback Together
Provide all required changes in one edit request instead of piecemeal feedback. This makes it easier for creators to revise efficiently and reduces the number of revision rounds used.
Reference Campaign Requirements
If edits tie back to what was agreed in the campaign brief (e.g., mandatory hashtags, product visibility), mention it. This reinforces that edits are about alignment, not personal preference.
Use a Respectful Tone
Position edits as collaboration, not criticism. For example:
“This looks great. To align with campaign requirements, could you also add the discount code in the first line of the caption?”
Mind the Timeline
Remember that you only have up to three rounds of revisions. Ensure feedback is comprehensive in each round and provide it quickly so creators have time to adjust before deadlines.
