Amazon Video Content: Do's and Don'ts
Amazon reviews video content against its applicable guidelines. The following practices are based on general Amazon product video guidance. Specific requirements for creator videos distributed through partnrUP should be confirmed with the team responsible for Amazon Syndication.
Do
Keep videos descriptive and product-focused: Explain product features, materials, size, intended use, and what makes the product distinctive.
Demonstrate the product: Show how the product works and how it is used.
Keep videos short and concise: Avoid long introductions and unnecessary content. Amazon recommends a duration of 1 to 12 minutes.
Be authentic and trustworthy: Provide truthful, accurate, and substantiated product claims.
Maintain high video quality: Ensure adequate lighting, clear product visibility, and high-quality audio.
Create clear titles and thumbnails: Use meaningful thumbnails and readable text where applicable.
Use content you own or have permission to use: Obtain the necessary permissions for third-party music, images, artwork, and other audiovisual material.
Don't
Direct shoppers to other websites or social channels: Keep the video focused on the product and the Amazon shopping experience.
Make videos resemble commercials: Avoid content focused on company branding rather than product information.
Include unsubstantiated product claims: Ensure claims are truthful and supported.
