Override Creator Scope

Overview

The Override Scope feature allows brands to update a creator’s campaign terms after the initial offer or selection. You can modify a creator’s rate, deliverables, and usage rights to align with evolving campaign needs, provided the creator has not yet begun their work.

Prepare to Override a Creator's Scope

Access Your Campaign

Open the specific campaign from your dashboard to access its details and manage creator terms.

Locate the Creator

Navigate to the Offers or Influencers tab and select the creator whose scope you need to update. This action opens the creator's sidebar, providing access to their specific campaign terms.

Modify Campaign Terms

Initiate Scope Override

Select Override Scope from the creator's sidebar to open the Override Scope modal. This modal enables you to make specific adjustments to the creator's campaign terms.

Adjust Creator Compensation

Modify the Rate field within the Override Scope modal to update the creator's financial compensation. This ensures the creator is paid the correct amount for their work.

Update Required Deliverables

Adjust the Deliverables fields, such as Instagram Posts or Instagram Stories, in the Override Scope modal to change the specific content or tasks the creator must provide. This clarifies the expected output for the campaign.

Modify Content Usage Rights

Update the Usage Rights dropdowns, including Brand Organic/Ecom Usage Period, Content Allowlisting Period, Paid Usage Period, and Exclusivity Period, to change how your brand can utilize the creator's content. This defines the terms for content use and exclusivity.

Provide Context for Changes

Enter a note in the Optional message to the creator text area to explain the reason for the updated terms. This ensures the creator understands the modifications to their agreement.

The 'Override Scope' option is unavailable if the creator has already started campaign requirements, such as posting content, uploading deliverables, or receiving payment. Changes cannot be made once work has commenced.

Finalize and Submit the Override

Review Updated Terms

Review the confirmation dialog to verify all changes are accurate before applying them. This step ensures the override reflects your intended adjustments.

Submit the Scope Override

Select Yes, Override Scope in the confirmation dialog to finalize and apply the updated terms. This action immediately updates the creator's contract, notifies them of the changes, and records the override in their audit log.

Track Override History

Access Scope Overrides Panel

Open the creator's sidebar and locate the Scope Overrides panel to view a record of all past modifications to their campaign terms. This panel displays a detailed history of scope adjustments.

Examine Override Log Details

Review the entries within the Scope Overrides panel to understand the specifics of each change, including who made the modification, the original terms, the updated terms, and the creator's acceptance. This provides a transparent audit trail of all adjustments.
